‘NOT UNTIL WE ARE LOST TO DO WE BEGIN TO UNDERSTAND OURSELFS”

Goa,was exactly how people said it to be a beach for every kind of person,an intoxicating nightlife, exotic food, surreal afternoons and a treasure cove – a find for every traveller.

I visited Goa last week along with my staff and students of grade ix & x to explore the coastal paradise.

Goa, the official party capital of india enchants tourists from all over the globe due to its picture square beaches, lush greenery, tropical forests, popular nightlife, majestic sunsets, water sports and delicious food.It is also the country’s most loved vacation place.

The journey started from the school in ac buses and reached the destination at 3pm. The resorts booked were amidst a hub of hotels as well as close to the beach.

After refreshing ourselves, we had a walk to the beach, enjoyed the night and returned to resort to relish the mouth watering dishes.

The next day,we visited mandovi river early in the morning & had boat ride. Later, we enjoyed numerous water sport activities. The entire afternoon, children had a great time in kayaking, swimming, speed boat, basking boat. A luscious lunch was arranged on the ship with a floor breaking dance on the DJ.

Then, it was a visit to Fort Aguada,a well preserved 17th century portuguese fort along with lighthouse, standing on seaquarium beach, overlooking the arabian sea.

The most amazing ordeal was setting of the sun, which I had ever witnessed. The day concluded with continental dinner.
On day-3, it was a visit to Maharashtra Paradise beach, where we experienced parasailing for the first time. The organizers took us a bit across the sea in a special big boat. During the activity, the participants were raised 30-40meters high above the sea level and later were dipped in the water by lowering the parachute. It was a thrilling sport activity which was enjoyed by all. Jetski and banana ride was also exciting. The sunset experienced was the most amazing one I had ever witnessed. Then we departed to our rooms after a delicious continental dinner. Not only this, we had a great time in cruise. This day was a memorable day in my life.

Day-4, it was a trip to Dudhsagar, located on the mandovi river. It adds cherry to the top.It is one among the India’s tallest waterfalls. The area is surrounded by deciduous forest with rich biodiversity. There is a narrow curly roads from main road which will lead to the cliff above. From there,to have a mesmerising view, one needs to take a small trek upwards to reach the waterfalls. Once we reach, the scene is pure ecstatics, which has its own charisma. This place is a must visit.
Then, an amusing experience of buffet at the Jungle book restaurant followed by a visit to Spice plantation.later we visited St.Xaviers church in old Goa, which holds the mortal remains of St.Francis Xavier. The day ended with shopping in the nearby market place.

On the last day, we were all ready with our baggage,to get set go. We visited Mangeshi Temple, offered prayers and started our journey back to our hometown.
